You can’t pour from an empty cup, take care of yourself.

Life gets stressful, we overwork ourselves, and if you’re like me you don’t care and just keep going. Well that’s okay, but you have to make sure you’re also giving your body the rest it needs and the care it deserves. I mean our body goes through so much, especially if you’re constantly busy. So sometimes you just have to take the day off and reward yourself for working so hard! I recently got a massage at The Adolphus Spa and it was great, I love love love The Adolphus for several reasons. First, before my appointment I had some yummy coffee and an egg sandwich at Otto’s aka my fav coffee shop in town. Second, the waiting room for your massage is relaxing in itself from all sorts of snacks, to the beautiful rooftop you can begin to destress yourself as soon as you walk in.

Now if you’re trying to take the whole day off, not only can you get a massage, but also a full service mani and pedi at their salon. It was super relaxing to just get treated like queens, but also have girl talk which is so important to destress and vent to your friends about things that happen on the daily.

I got the prettiest manicure I’ve ever gotten in my life and I really do mean that! Our nail tech was super nice and friendly and she made sure our nails were not only getting done but also staying healthy, which most nail salons don’t.

When we were done with our pampering, we headed to The Adolphus pool to hangout and just enjoy the rest of our day, and indeed we did. We got some food and went in for a dip at the pool which felt amazing because you know this summer heat is no joke.

I am so thankful for The Adolphus giving us such a relaxing day, I personally really got to relax, and gather my thoughts for this week.

Remember: “You can’t pour from an empty cup, take care of yourself.”
