OOTD with Plaid + Snow

Feb 26, 2017 | Fashion Looks

So like.. Texas weather is so unpredictable. This past week was such patio weather and then this weekend a cold front came in that ruined my weekend brunch plans! I mean do I dress for the weather or the season? I never know these days. What I do know is that this outfit was too cute to not share and post before spring came along. Although, this is a more winterish outfit, the different components make it easy to change up for the spring.

A question I have had for the longest is whether this is called a pancho, blanket, or cape. It irks me that I can never remember the proper name for it! I think I will call it a cape. Well this cape is awesome, its super warm and not as bulky as a coat or jacket would be. What I also love about it is that it doesn’t just cover my arms but when I’m sitting it covers my whole body which is important when temperatures drop.

Gotta always remember to keep your head and hands nice and warm! That’s usually where most of our body heat escapes from anyway.

Opened toe shoes with snow don’t go well together. However, this is Texas where the sun comes out and melts the snow which makes it completely okay to wear opened toe heels. Also these are my favorite knee highs, and I wear them any chance I get! I pretty much just paired this outfit with leather leggings and a white button up shirt wearing a lace bralette underneath. It’s super easy and cute!!

Hope you enjoyed the post guys! xoxo
